Darren Vermost
Darren has been in the insurance industry since 1990, taking over Vermost Insurance Agency from his dad in 2006. Insurance practically “runs” in Darren’s veins, as he is a second-generation insurance “guy,” following in his father’s footsteps.

He spent nine years on the Safety Harbor Planning and Zoning Board and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Safety Harbor Code Enforcement Board. As the Office Manager at Vermost Insurance Agency, I bring a deep commitment to professionalism, integrity, and relationship-building. With years of experience supporting both our team and our clients, I take pride in making sure our office runs smoothly so that every client receives the exceptional service Vermost is known for.
Relationships and integrity are at the core of our business, and I believe in treating every interaction with care, respect, and sincerity. I strive to create a welcoming environment where both clients and team members feel supported and valued.
Outside of the office, I’m a proud mom to two amazing sons and glam-mom to two beautiful glam-children. My happy place is anywhere by the beach or on the Harley with my husband, Rodney while always practicing gratitude for all the blessings God has given us.
Rebekah Mattioli
Impressions
I’m Rebekah Mattioli, and I currently live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I’ve always had a creative side, outside of work, I enjoy drawing and working on art projects, and I’m passionate about sustainability in everything I create. At home, life is lively thanks to my two cats, who keep me entertained and occasionally supervise my work.
I work as a receptionist at Vermost Insurance, where I’m often the first point of contact for clients and help make sure they get connected to the right person for their needs. While I don’t personally write insurance policies, I enjoy learning about the different types of coverage we offer, especially home and auto, and seeing how they can truly protect people in their everyday lives. Helping people with insurance matters to me because it’s about more than paperwork, it’s about giving people peace of mind and helping them feel secure when the unexpected happens.
Brittany Rossow
Born and raised in Pinellas County, I’m a true Florida native with a lifelong love for storytelling—whether through dance, ice skating, theater, or now, behind the camera. I earned my degree in Broadcast News from USF’s School of Mass Communications and have been fortunate to work with some incredible creative teams over the years. One of my favorite experiences was interning with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ production team during the 2019 offseason.
Outside of work, I’m usually keeping up with the Lightning, Bucs, and Rays, belting out the latest Broadway cast album, or spending time with family and friends (preferably with snacks involved).
At Vermost Insurance, I get to blend creativity with purpose—bringing video and marketing to life in a way that makes our message feel real. I love humanizing the insurance side for our clients and showing them that we’re more than just policies—we’re people who care.
Maryanne O’Brien
I was born and raised in New York but moved to Florida in 2004 to enjoy my slice of paradise and raise my three boys in the relaxed Florida lifestyle. When the weather is nice, I love going for bike rides; when it’s not, you’ll find me working on a jigsaw puzzle. I was recently promoted to “GrandMo” (Mo, a name my family lovingly calls me), so I’ve been jetting back and forth to Kansas City, MO, to soak up as much time as possible with my grandchild.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones—I genuinely enjoy my work. Commercial insurance is never boring, as every risk is different and there’s no mundane repetition. It’s deeply satisfying to know that I’ve provided coverage for clients so that when a tragic event occurs, they have the protection in place to recover and rebuild.

I was born and raised in Florida. I live with my husband and our 2 cats who terrorize our house, but it wouldn't be home without them. I live for a good story and great art. I spend most of my time reading, playing PC games, or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Fantasy, Thrillers & Horror are my favorite genres of books and games. I create Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for our friends. I DM for some campaigns and as a player I am our groups resident scribe.
I am in the Commercial Department at Vermost. Commercial Auto is my favorite type of insurance to handle. It is expensive and no one likes that, but no one can deny the necessity of good auto coverage around Florida drivers. Insurance is never fun or easy, but we are here for when our customers need help.
Christine Earle
Manager
Originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, I’ve also called southern New Hampshire home before settling in Pasco County. I’m a creative soul who loves to draw, organize, and tackle anything that lets me use my problem-solving skills. When I’m not spending time with my husband, our two kids, and sweet grandson, I’m likely catching up with my big extended family or working on a craft project.
With over 25 years in insurance, I truly enjoy helping clients protect what matters most. Getting to know people personally is what helps me serve them best—because insurance should always feel like it’s made just for you.
John O’Brien
I’m a proud resident of Dunedin, FL! I think a lot of our clients would be surprised to hear that I’m a musician and DJ. I’m in a rock band that released a record last year, and I also play in an Americana/Celtic band with my daughter! I’m also a DJ (over 35 years!), hosting a monthly event in town with my son. Some of our clients know that I can often be seen riding my Harley around town! Our family loves tailgating for USF football, and attending Celtic events throughout the state, especially at home in Dunedin. You can often see me working security detail at the events in a kilt, with a large sword on my back!
I’m a second-generation insurance agent of over 30 years, and more than half of my career has been here at Vermost. Who would have thought that Darren would keep a rock-n-roll biker around for so long? I handle primarily personal lines of insurance. My favorite is Life insurance. It’s perhaps the most important product we have, but since it’s not required by the DMV or a Mortgage lender, it often goes ignored, until it’s too late. Don’t leave a financial mess for your family!
I have many, many long-time professional relationships with clients. I appreciate that they trust me, and I’m honored that they choose to do business with me, and our agency.

Representative
Sara moved to Florida as a child from Brooklyn, Connecticut with her mother and siblings and now lives locally with her cat, Bobtail. She worked in customer service for over six years before coming to Vermost Insurance in 2013 and starting her insurance career, where she is the customer service representative in the personal lines department. She specializes in assisting the agents and processing payments. Her favorite part about working here at Vermost is keeping all the client files and information up to date and accurate so the insureds can have peace of mind.
When not working, Sara enjoys sewing costumes for attending comic and pop culture conventions, participating in a monthly Dungeons & Dragons campaign with friends, and playing video games on Story Mode.
